Join the morning coffee crew to get caught up on activities and share stories. Potlucks, catered events, and themed parties are held throughout the season. Go out for breakfast or lunch with a group of friends. Tag along for the monthly pizza night. We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries monthly with an old-fashion ice cream and cake social.
Get involved with the crafty side too — Valentine craft sessions, jewelry-making workshops, chair exercise classes, and weekly poker nights are all on the calendar.
Committee Events
Interested in pitching in? Some 17 committees keep the park running smoothly. Share your talents, wisdom, and energy by volunteering.
White Board
Keep an eye on the white board outside the office for all the latest updates and notices.
Every good thing at the Roost happens because someone said "I'll help." Our 17 standing committees touch every part of park life. If you're 55+ and love to share what you're good at, you'll find a warm welcome and a meaningful role.
Why It Matters
Sharing talents is how a co-op stays a co-op
RoVer's Roost works because residents show up for each other. The clubhouse stays clean because someone organizes the cleaning. The library is browsable because someone shelves the books. The newcomers feel welcome because someone takes the time to say hello.
If you've been looking for a place where your gifts make a real difference — and where you'll have plenty of fun while you're at it — we'd love to meet you.
Volunteer ideas to get you started
- Lead a class in something you love — quilting, photography, dancing, cooking, finance, languages
- Host a book club
- Join the events committee for one project a season
- Help organize trips to Phoenix or Tucson attractions
- Pitch in on a maintenance or landscaping day
- Mentor a newcomer through their first month
Have a talent? We have a place for it.
Reach out and tell us what you love to do — we'll connect you with the committee or activity that's a perfect match.
